Pepper Anne is looking for her forever home, could it be you? She lived mainly as an outside dog for many years and while we have known her as a quiet girl with calm energy- she is NOT okay with fireworks! Earlier this month (July 4th) it was really scary and she jumped through a glass door in a panic. The wound on her abdomen needed immediate attention and she was brought into a vet clinic for care. Rocket Dog agreed to handle the cost of her needed surgery and to find her a loving home once she healed.
What traits are we seeking in Pepper Anne’s new home? Honestly, not too much. Love, shelter, and commitment. At 14 years old, she deserves a home to relax and feel safe in. Currently with her foster family she is well-mannered, quiet, and really good at napping sprawled out at your feet. She has been great with “holding it” until she gets outside, greets dogs on leash very nicely and likes her foster sister-dog. She is a little stiff getting around and would ideally be in a home without stairs as she ages gracefully.
She is 14 years old and 70 pounds of adorable love. She appears to be a cattle-dog mix and gets many compliments on her pretty brown eyes and happy smile.
If you would like to meet this special soul and give her the home of her dreams, please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch. (KF/PB)
