Meet Pocket! She came to us from a local county shelter that was overfilled and now this sweet girl is a Rocket Dog.
Pocket is a Siberian Husky, estimated to be one year old, and is full grown at 35 pounds. She was likely born with a congenital birth defect that has crippled one of her front legs, though she is fully mobile with her 3 good legs.
This girl is stealing volunteers’ hearts quickly! She is very shy and timid in the kennel environment. She appears to be a little overwhelmed by all the noise and activity around her. She loves to be near people, especially if they are willing to sit down and give her some snuggles. Once she is out of her kennel she relaxes well and is happy to explore, sniff, and romp around the yards.
Pocket will require a dedicated person willing to help her with her basic obedience commands and be patient while she comes out of her shell. We will prioritize applicants who have husky experience, or willing to do their breed research to ensure this is the right breed to adopt.
If you are interested in meeting lovely girl, please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch! (KF/MM)
