Hi there, my name is Raider and from what I keep hearing I am quite a handsome and easy-going fellow. Being a polite guy, I am certainly not going to disagree. Previously I had a rough patch of luck , spending a few months in a shelter in Sonoma County but then the folks at Rocket Dog realized what an awesome guy I was and chose me to be on their team.
I am currently in foster care and it has opened my eyes to so many great things. My list of favorite things is about a mile long but I’ll just mention a few. Top of the list : belly rubs. Tippy top of the list: belly rubs and snuggles on the couch while we binge watch Netflix. Then there’s the everyday things that just make me all happy inside like laying in a patch of outdoor sunshine, brisk walks around the neighborhood to catch up on all the news, mealtime, my rope toy which I need for my happy dance that I do every morning before breakfast, and just hanging out with my humans while they do whatever they do that keeps them so busy.
I have a couple of doggie roomies whose company I enjoy. We don’t really play together, more like hang out and indulge in a little competitive napping. At night I happily sleep in my crate and am quiet as a mouse and wait patiently for the door to open. During the day when the people leave I’ll just hang out in the kitchen on the soft bed and wait for their return, no drama. I like car rides and see this as another napping opportunity. Lots of people ask if I like cats but I don’t really know any. If they’re anything like the squirrels that I see on my walks, meh, they’re probably just as uninteresting.
My foster mom thinks I’m super handsome and loves to take my picture (a lot!). Just to give her something to do, I started my own instagram account. You can see all my posts on @SoCok9fostermom. So what do think? Wouldn’t I make a fabulous addition to your family?
Please fill out an application to meet this handsome dude and a volunteer will contact you. (MC)
