Large (60 – 100 lbs) Learn MoreRemi, lovingly nicknamed Remington by his fosters, is a distinguished dude. This huggable Old English Sheepdog weighs in at about 100 pounds and is approximately five years old.
Though Remi is not super high energy, multiple walks daily allow for him to exert some energy, get some enrichment in, and later relax in the comfort of his foster’s home. This big, lovable goof also really enjoys getting out and meeting people. Remi is big on bonding with his person…someone who can assure him that strange noises can be safe and to help build his confidence. Experience with herding breeds is preferred and because Remi isn’t quite aware of his size, he should not be placed in a home with young children. He’s done well with his foster canine sibling.
Caveat: Please note that being a pure bred Old English sheep dog he is going to require regular grooming (every 4-6 weeks) for the rest of his life. Understanding the time commitment and, frankly the cost, for dogs with hair and not fur is an important aspect of owning Remi. The last photo was before we rescued him.
