Roo is ready to be your new best friend! This sweet mixed-breed 4 month old puppy is an extremely curious, quirky, and oh-so adorable little fur-ball. He is currently 17 pounds and we estimate his weight to be approximately 60+ pounds.
Roo sleeps very well through the night and loves to be in the bed with his humans and pack-mates. He enjoys playing with his pack-mates throughout the day, practicing commands, going for car rides, easing into socializing with new people, going for walks at the park, routing with his foster siblings, teething on frozen butcher bones, and playing with his “babies”. He is learning where it’s appropriate to go potty and although is almost house trained, will need continued monitoring to ensure he continues good habits in his new home. He is quick to learn commands and responds very well to training treats. He’s making fantastic progress with come, sit, paw and down.
Since he is a growing boy and enjoys his naps however, he is a puppy that loves to explore and play. He is active and would thrive by continuing to be able to receive continuous interaction and care throughout the entire day. Ideally, Roo will continue to receive the equivalent of 4 walks per day in addition to outings that help socialize him with new people and fur friends. He is courages and curious wherever he goes. He is comfortable using doggy doors and enjoys going from inside to the backyard for mini adventures! He will need to have access to an enclosed backyard where he may continuously exercise/play.
Roo has so many fantastic qualities and his overall personality has got to be his best! He is a sweet spirited little guy trapped in a big dog’s body. (And he will grow to be a bog dog!) He is curious yet shy, loves to roughhouse with his foster siblings just as much as he loves to cuddle with them, and makes the sweetest noises/howl when “talking”. His foster parents report that he is an overall angel!
Roo can be shy around new people and dogs, but after proper introductions, he warms up quickly and loves having a new playmate. He is also currently living with two cats and, although he is curious, is respectful of them when they set boundaries.
A household that can offer Roo supervision, frequent potty breaks, and commitment to his ongoing training and socialization is required. Plan to leave him no longer than 2 hours alone at a time. (TS)
