Sadie is an amazingly sweet, gentle, cuddle bug and will instantly melt your heart with her loving gaze, gentle kisses, and nonstop wiggle butt. This adorable, 2 year-old, 40 lb., short-stack, micro-bully is solid muscle, and might look tough to some, but she has made it abundantly clear that her huge, loving heart is the muscle she flexes most. She bonds strongly to her human(s) and has no greater desire than to scoot around velcroed to you all day as your plus one, content to be your loyal co-pilot in any activity. She loves to curl up under your desk in the home office, follow you around while you tend to chores or the garden, & take good long naps snuggling next to you while you chillax on the sofa to read or watch a video.
Sadie loves outings in the car, which she considers her dog house on wheels. Sadie has low to medium bulldog-like energy and seems to thrive on two easy-paced 30 min. walks or hikes per day, but can definitely appreciate more. She loves both adventures out in nature and city strolls and delightfully does not pull on the leash. She appreciates a gentle pace, shade, and ready access to a water bottle due to her shorter snout and tendency to have more labored breathing and run on the warm side. She enjoys gentle play sessions with a ball or toys. She is potty trained but may need a reminder here and there.
Sadie loves to meet and greet new people of all ages. At a recent adoption fair, she was extremely gentle and friendly with even the youngest of humans. Though Sadie maintains a calm, non-reactive de-meaner when she meets dogs away from her home, she is meant to be queen of the house. Ie, no other dogs in the household would be best for her. (We have not observed her with cats.)
Sadie is highly treat motivated and has quickly learned “sit”, “touch”, “look”, “paw”, “heel”, “this way”, and is working on “leave it” and “stay”. All around Sadie is an adorable, delightful, low maintenance, low-rider who will steal your heart and add oodles of love and joy to your
