”Samara” means “watched over by God” and it certainly is appropriate for our new silly-willy girl. Samara is a 6 month-old pitbull mix who was kept in a crate for much of her life. When she outgrew it, she was tied up in a backyard in >100 degree heat! She was found covered in fleas and ticks (debugging her took several hours as she was so coated with bugs)! Despite the neglect and discomfort Samara endured, her spunky playful personality shines through!
Currently, Samara is approx 30 lbs and we are estimating she will be 50-60 lbs full grown. She loves to play with other dogs. (Not tested with cats.) Still learning to walk on a leash, but catching on quickly!
If you are interested in adopting Samara, please submit an adoption application online:
Samara would love a foster home while she awaits her forever one.
(Please do your research about breed traits and characteristics, especially as dogs mature and may become more “dog intolerant“.)
