Meet Scarlett, a 9-week old, spirited *9 pound puppy! Fearless and full of life, Scarlett is undeterred by city noises and eagerly takes in the world during walks in her sling. Quick to learn commands, she sits for treats, is getting used to a harness for leash training and comes when she is called.
Scarlett is currently living with her puppy sibling and an older adult dog. Playful and respectful, she engages with Coral (her puppy sibling; adopted) and attempts to involve the fosters’ older dog. Her adventurous spirit would make her an ideal companion for another dog who enjoys roughhousing.
Potty training is progressing well, with Scarlett adapting to outdoor routines and sleeping soundly in her crate for most of the night. Car rides are a breeze; she settles comfortably in her crate. Scarlett has had her first round of shots and will be ready for walks in public places in another 2-3 weeks. Until then, she’s loving her sling, thriving in her foster home and ready for a loving home! *We estimate she will be around 50 pounds at maturity, with no guarantees.
Please be home every 2 hours during this important developmental period. Puppies require lots of training, socialization, and engagement as they learn to they amazing canine citizens they are meant to be, and Scarlett is no exception. (AE)
