Scoot is an approximately one year old Shepherd mix who is ready for her forever home! Weighing in at around 45 lbs, Scoot is best described as a sweet, docile, curious young dog who loves attention from humans and other dogs alike. She is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. When she is out on walks she is always excited to see every person and dog she passes.
Scoot has a nice medium energy level and her foster says about 1-2 hours of exercise per day would be ideal for her. She loves long walks and playtime with other dogs. Scoot is also a toy fiend – she loves to parade around with her toys in her mouth and pile them up when she is done.
Scoot is house trained and has great leash manners. Scoot is also great with kids and currently does well in a home with a toddler. Scoot does have a little bit of mild separation anxiety and can be vocal when left alone, but she settles after a few minutes.
Scoot would make a great dog for any adopter ready to put in some more time on her training and socialization! Scoot would make a great family dog. She would thrive in a home with an older, confident dog to show her the ropes, but would also do well as an only dog with an adopter committed to her training.
