This little guy came to us small and skinny, kinda like a ‘lil shrimp! And, hence he was named. He is coming out of his shell in foster and brightening up to be a sweet and loving boy.
Here is what his foster family has to say about his personality:
Shrimp can be on the shy side with people, but just needs a little bit of time before he will be asking for belly rubs and snuggle time. He is overall very sweet, very mellow and extremely quiet – rarely barks at home. He loves to snuggle up right next to you on the couch, or follow you quietly around the house, wagging his tail. Shrimp is very easy to care for and doesn’t ask for much. He is good on leash, potty-trained, likes his crate and will happily stay in there quietly with no complaints, and doesn’t mind car rides. He also loves his foster brother, and would do well with another friendly dog that can help show him the ropes and help him gain some confidence.
We estimate Shrimp to be around 3 years old, and a terrier mix. He weighs 15 pounds. He has not been tested with cats, but enthusiastically enjoys the company of small and big dogs.
