Hi, I’m Sterling! I’m a gorgeous German Shepherd boy and approximately 2 years old.
I was rescued from an abandoned warehouse in Oakland by the wonderful volunteers at Rocket Dog. My history before that is unknown, however I am well behaved and do know some commands and have pretty good potty skills! So it’s assumed I was living in a home in the past.
Life has been a bit hard for me lately so I’m still a little nervous around new people. But with some patience (and treats!) I will happily become your friend and let you rub my giant shepherd head. I weigh about 70lbs but could definitely put on a few.
I’m looking for an understanding, quiet, and patient home where I can settle in and feel safe. A secured yard is important and I’ll need to be leashed at all times outside in the beginning.
I’m dog friendly and, aside from my big German Shepherd bark that I let out when I’m unsure of someone, have shown no aggression. Let’s make a plan to meet by hitting the apply button! (DZ/CA)
