Sydney just turned 3 years old and is the sweetest husky you’ll ever meet. She’s an active, playful girl described as “very in tune with people, an absolute sweetheart” by her foster parents.
This girl is housetrained, trusted with free roam of the house when left alone, loves meeting new people, and thrives with 2-3 hours of activity daily. Currently, she enjoys a couple of shorter walks and one hour-long walk or run to keep her engaged and happy.
Sydney has made several canine friends, and especially enjoys playing with other huskies or similar breeds. However, she can be selective and bossy towards some dogs and prefers playmates around her size. On walks, she has great leash manners and doesn’t bark at dogs – even if she’s interested, she will politely walk around.
Sydney’s ideal home would provide plenty of stuffed toys, treats (strawberries and bones are her favorite), cuddles, and will never forget to give her a bedtime snack. She can be very insistent about her bedtime snack!
As a young husky, Sydney needs to be kept well exercised to be happy. A few walks around the block will not cut it. Huskies are known for having stubborn streaks and loud opinions – active and engaged homes are a must, prior breed experience a plus.
