Medium (25 – 60 lbs) Learn MoreA week ago, Tara was in a kennel at the Ukiah shelter, shivering and backed into a corner of her kennel. By degrees, she began to trust enough to take a treat, then sit on a volunteer’s lap, then believe it when she was told “you’re out of here soon; and we’ll find you a great home”.
The time has come, and now she’s free as a bird, but looking for a place to land. In foster, she immediately got along with all types of other dogs, is very non threatening and submissive, and in a short time learned basic commands and leash walking. She desperately wants to be good!
Initially shy, very affectionate and of course curious about new surroundings. Friendly with new encounters but not obnoxious. 45 lbs probably a pit mix with some type of sporting dog.
Passed the in house temperament test flawlessly. She can be trusted with kids, and ignored cats.
Active family please! At ten months she’s still a puppy, but is completely housebroken and mature for her age.
Tara is a genuine gem.
