UPDATE: We have four puppies, two females (Noelani and Nuages, and two males (Cirrus and Kumo), available for adoption.
Back in July, we had a pair of amazing creatures brought to our sanctuary – they ended up being a mating pair of Great Pyrenees and we quickly christened them the cloud twins due to their fluffy white coats and their ethereal nature. Sharon and Jacob were loving friendly dogs, who affectionately gave us all hugs, sometimes double teaming.
Sharon gave birth to 8 healthy puppies on August 15th, there are 4 boys and 4 girls and we have affectionately named them the Cloud litter. After a DNA test we have come to realize what was expected; Jacob is a full Great Pyrenees and Sharon is a mix of Great Pyrenees and Cattle or Shepherd. All our beautiful pups have the same fluffy white coats, a few with light head markings. Sharon has made the best mom, doting on them, caring for them and they have grown quickly.
We are preparing to discuss their adoption with a date of Oct 10th for when they can begin to be taken to their new homes. The puppies are already eating 3 meals a day of puppy gruel and mom has been weening. These are sweet, gorgeous dogs who will likely be between 80 and 120 pounds depending on the sex and individual. As a Guardian breed they are loyal working dogs that require training, their usual calm demeanor and affectionate nature make them great family dogs, but they could use a house with a yard that allows them the benefit of outdoor time. As puppies they will need extra attention and would benefit from a person who works from home at the house, especially in the first 6 months when potty training and commands are important to start on early.
These pups are very dear to us and are sweet, silly, gorgeous animals. Please put in your application and we will be scheduling meetings over the next few weeks. Please come meet the clouds: Leuna, Noelani, Yuki, Nuages, Nimbus, Cirrus, Kumo and Karl. (GA)
