Little Tito was adopted from Rocket Dog Rescue seven years ago to a family whose young boy was lonely, friendless and bullied. Tito became this young boy’s world; he helped with homework (Tito has very good spelling skills😉), exercise (Tito was very strict about those afterschool walks) and cuddling (Tito is the master at snuggling and making you feel warm and loved!). This little boy grew up and as a teenager, began to do other activities that did not include his pal, Tito.
Rocket Dog Rescue was called when Tito was surrendered to the shelter (they located us through his microchip)…poor Tito. It was the ultimate betrayal. Tito didn’t deserve to be discarded.
Now 7 yr-old Tito is back with Rocket Dog Rescue and he is looking for someone who will match his loyalty. Tito is an amazing little guy who adores people and kids. He is housetrained and crate trained. We had him on a diet at first bc he was rather portly (28 lbs!!!) .. it seems that he was left a huge bowl of crappy food to eat over days at a time. He is still pleasantly plump but has lost a considerable amount of weight.
Tito gets along with other dogs and probably is ok with cats. ( It’s not confirmed but I doubt he can chase a cat ).
So what’s the catch? Tito is like a jealous lover. He really doesn’t like to share his human’s attentions with another in-house dog. He seems ok with visitors (bc they eventually go home) but Tito seems to be making up for lost time and attention.
If you are interested in adopting Tito and want to give him a forever and loving home, please submit an adoption application online and a volunteer will contact you (VL)
