Large (60 – 100 lbs) Learn MoreMeet Cooper! He’s a Treeing Walker Coonhound who is almost 2 years old and looking for a home where exercise, clear rules, and expectations are the norm. Cooper is a great dog that just needs to be reminded of his training. He’s a teenager, so he’s pushing his boundaries, but responds well to firm and clear expectations. He’s got tons of energy, and is happy on long runs with you or you on your bike.
He is great with other dogs, big and small, and would do really well in a house with a friend to help him spend his energy.
He is very food driven, which is good for training, but he needs to be monitored and separated if food (human or dog) is around. (Due to his food issues, we are requiring Cooper to go to an adult only home.)
Cooper is (nearly) crate-trained (he settles pretty quickly, though, sometimes he complains a little, but it doesn’t last long). He’s house trained and leash-trained. For a hound dog he’s relatively quiet, but does sing when he’s upset.
