Meet Otto, a 2.5-year-old German Shepherd mix who weighs 74 pounds and is a certified lover boy! Otto greets every person he encounters like an old friend, and will joyfully accept your pets and scratches. This sweet, playful, loyal, and beloved companion would love to accompany you on walks, play a round of fetch, snuggle with you on the couch, and join you on a drive with the windows down so he can feel the wind on his face.
Otto has medium energy and benefits from a few 30-45 minute walks a day and a game of fetch a few times a week, but is also content to snooze while you work or join you to watch some TV. Otto enjoys walks and play time with his dog friends both large and small breeds, and generally walks well on a leash but could benefit from continued leash training. He has been gentle with every child he has encountered, although to the best of our knowledge he has never lived with a child before. Otto would do best in a home without cats.
Otto welcomes guests to his home with friendliness and warmth. He’s fully house-trained and has shown he’s adaptable to his humans’ schedule—he can sleep in and be flexible on his feeding and walking times. He likes to accompany his people whenever he’s invited, but is also comfortable being left alone for hours at a time and has never been destructive! This smart boy knows a series of commands and even learned some doggy “barkour”, displaying some agility moves while out on his walks. He is easy to train (both food-motivated and eager to please), and loves a game or a puzzle that shows off his intelligence. Don’t miss your chance to meet this lover boy! (AZ)
