Meet Tulip! Tulip is a 7 month-old German Shepherd (mix?) who was rescued from a bad backyard situation. She is now safe and looking for her forever home. Could that be yours?
Tulip is a 50-pound female, who loves to play, and is dog and kid friendly. (We have not cat-tested her.)
These are the notes from her foster:
“She is very loving but doesn’t need to be right by you at all time. she is independent yet very attentive and alert to you. She loves to chase and play with the other dogs and is a big chewer on rope toys, antlers etc.
She is tough to get in and out of the truck, so some threshold training would help; we are working on that now.
She loves her walks and is very friendly to strangers and other dogs. she does get excited to see other dogs so she has learned a solid sit and watch command, before I let her say Hi to make sure she is calm to greet the other dog.
She is doing very well learning her basic commands.
she is being fostered in a multi dog household, and is in daycare daily with old, young, big, small, active and non-active dogs. She does quite well, I see no reactionary problem with bones, toys or people.”
Puppies require LOTS of exercise and LOTS of mental stimulation. They require LOTS of time to be the best dogs the can be. Please keep this in mind when applying for Tulip. *Breed experience a plus.*
(Pictures shown are with the other GSD puppy that was rescued. Tulip has the tan face. They will NOT be adopted together.)
