Violet, a wonderful, gorgeous, large, kind-hearted, clumsy, playful, smart, sometimes shy, dog-loving, cuddler of a dog, looking far and wide for her special family. These are only some of the words that we would use to describe sweet Violet!
She was found wandering the streets until a kind-hearted woman took her in. She got checked out by the vet and is now ready to find her forever home.
Violet LOVES the company of other dogs and would love a playmate that could match her rough housing play style. She does snort during play and is a bit of a clutz so any small dogs and children might get accidentally knocked over. Otherwise, she’s a total doll face. Ideally, she’d find a home that appreciates these following amazing traits about her:
-Very playful with other dogs, better matched with another large dog to match her rough housing
-Great with women once given the time to warm up. Good with children who also give her time to warm up. Men need to give her a little more time to build her confidence that you’re not there to hurt her
-Not tested with cats, but with her gentle nature, it might be possible to match her with a dog-savvy cat
-LOVES other dogs and wants to play!
-Due to her elbow surgeries and poor hips, she’ll never be a trail runner and needs a home without stairs, but she definitely loves her walks around the neighborhoods and romping around the park (and she needs her daily exercise!)
-Vet check ups have marked her good to go! She needs supplements to help with joints, but other than that, she’s not super needy.
-She has great recall and stays with the pack
-AMAZING leash manners. No pulling at all. Just a click to her collar and there you go!
-Very submissive to other dogs and isn’t phased by rowdy ill-mannered dogs. She only wants to play and respects other dogs space if need be
-Likes water!
-Takes treats ever-so-gently and lets the other foster pups eat from her bowl without protest
-Plays with her toys and is okay entertaining herself
-Sleeps throughout the night BEAUTIFULLY!
-No whining, no crying
-Crate-trained and house-trained (people need to be trained to let her out in appropriate timeframes to eliminate any chances of accidents)
-Knows how to use the DOGGIE DOOR!
-Will bark (one bark to let you know) if someone is at the door, but no nuisance barking.
-A generally SUPER well-mannered bear of a dog who is a total love bug
-Has the cutest “old man” snore when sleeping 😉
