Sweet Wallace is still waiting to meet his forever family. He is an incredible pup, 16 weeks old, neutered, has two sets of shots and weighs 25 lbs. He is a husky pitbull mix with the most spectacular gray-green eyes!!! Let me tell you about this incredible pup!
He is extremely pleasant and bright, so happy and social, both with other dogs and all people. Easygoing and friendly, he has played with pups 5 pounds, and also 150 pounds. He has been corrected by older dogs (turns and walks away with no confrontation) and plays like a rambunctious puppy with those closer to his age. He has two foster sisters, a 55 pound mutt that is all fun and games, and an older 25 pound spaniel that really just tolerates him. He chooses to engage the mutt and ignore the spaniel, and it makes for a happy home.
He is potty trained, loves to do tricks like sit, high 5, down, leave it and drop it. He will sit while you fill his bowl with food and wait for an “OK”, he also will sit before being let out of his puppy pen. He is learning leash manners now and doesn’t pull, but does like to try to chew his leash (it’s so new and exciting!). Wally, as we affectionately call him, loves toys, and is known to play fetch with a tennis ball, chew a bone for long periods of time, and loves anything with a squeaker. He has many toys, and rarely tries to chew other items.
He was great on a road trip to Tahoe, happy in the car, and takes new experiences like a champ. He recently went on a lunch date at Whole Foods, where he sat quietly on my daughter’s lap while we ate. He’d be a great ‘go everywhere’ dog, but he also settles quickly when we leave him home. He rests quietly at my feet while I’m on the computer, and loves a snuggle and belly rub too!
Wallace would benefit from additional puppy training and would love to have a doggie sibling.
Breed experience is a plus.
