Yarra is one of our several hounds brought in from a disbanded hunting club. Some may do well as only dogs while others may need dog playmates, but we believe all of them will be great family dogs. Many of them will likely need a little of extra time, love, and patience to adjust to a home environment.
Yarra is a 5-year old female hound who weighs around 50-60 pounds. She is a timid, shy girl who will need some extra love and patience to help her gain confidence. She is sweet and gentle when receiving pets and taking treats. She would likely do best in a quiet home with dog-savvy, respectful children. (She hasn’t been cat-tested.) She has done well with other dogs and will be best-suited with a confident dog companion in her new home to help show her the ropes. If you are interested in learning more about Yarra, please fill out an adoption or foster application. (GS)
