Zena is an approximately 9-month-old pit bull mix who was unfortunately dumped in a cardboard box. However, Zena hasn’t let that get her down.
Zena is a typical sweet puppy. She can be a little shy at first and needs a few minutes to warm up to people (cheese helps!), but once she does she is all playful puppy curiosity and kisses.
Zena is still a puppy and working on house training, but has picked up pee pad training very quickly. She also walks very well on a leash. Zena does well living in a home with another dog, but is much more interested in getting attention from people than from her canine counterparts.
Please do your research on bully types. These lovable dogs tend to mature slowly, so please expect Zena to be “puppy-like” for the first few years. They are extremely social and expect (and deserve) to be part of your engaged household. If you are not home more often than not, this is probably not a good fit.
Zena’s estimated mature weight is about 40-50 pounds, though no guarantees. Since she is still a puppy, Zena will need an adopter who is committed to socialization and training so she can grow up to be a model canine citizen. (GS)
