Meet our newest Rocket Dog, Zeusy!
Sadly, since Zeusy was a tiny puppy, he was discarded to the yard without shelter from the cold and rain or human attention and his job was to “guard”. Fortunately, he “failed” and, long story short, one of our Rocket Dog volunteers convinced the “owners” to let her have him. And, now, Zeusy has a second chance!
At one year old, Zeusy is still a puppy. He is great with other dogs and loves to play; he is highly affectionate and extremely goofy. He craves to be near and love up on all people and strangers. He loves to smell the flowers and gives great hugs. Recently he’s discovered stuffed animals and is in heaven mouthing on them and rolling around on a couch.
Zeusy is ready for a very active home and a family that will give him boundaries and a consistent routine. This darling puppy needs to go to basic obedience class; he’s been receptive to positive treat-training reinforcement. He’s working on potty-training. He loves meeting new dog friends, but probably shouldn’t be a home with cats. Dog-savvy kids age 12 and up would be great for this fun-loving pup.
At 40 pounds, Zeusy could stand to gain a few pounds.
Let’s show Zeusy that most humans are amazing and find the dream home he deserves. Please fill out an application to meet Zeusy. A volunteer will contact you. (TH)
