You know cats have nine lives—but
have you heard of a dog with nine lives? Meet Lucky AFU , an
approx 8 year old Formosa Mountain dog, who’s survived
three life-threatening events within two months: 1) he fell
from the ceiling of a 16th floor building, only to be caught
by a safety net on the 12th floor and rescued by local
firefighters; 2) at the vet, after the rescue, he was
diagnosed with heartworm and has been successfully treated;
and 3) Lucky choked and suffocated while eating and was
revived by 2 doctors after three minutes of continuous CPR.
And these are events that we are aware of!
Lucky is approximately 35 lbs with a lean build. He is housetrained.
Lucky is a warrior and a survivor, with many years of love
to give. As a stray dog, he’s endured many dangers in
order to survive to the age of 8 in an country where street
dogs are disdained. Though he may have fought his way in the
world, he has the most gentle soul. He likes to follow his
human companion around but is never underfoot ; his favorite
activity is to sit quietly next to his new friends and enjoy
some gentle petting and soothing scratches. Lucky is an
easygoing dog and looks forward to bringing his luck to a
new loving permanent home!
***AFU also means “lucky ” so we felt it was deserving to
give him a name that stands for “double luck”.
