Zoey is a 32 pound black-and-tan mixed-breed dog we adopted from a rescue organization four years ago when she was still a puppy. She is a great combination of an energetic dog who is great for outdoor exploring, and a cuddly indoor dog who is very affectionate. She loves walks and runs, playing at the park, ball throwing, and snuggles. She loves people and just wants to be around us. She goes right up to strangers on the street and “asks” to be pet, or lies down on the ground in front of them in hopes of getting attention. She does great in the house, and is a happy dog.
She is very well trained and knows sit, down, stay, and shake, and has terrific recall when you call her. She has had all her shots, goes regularly to the vet, and has no medical issues.Unfortunately, every dog has her quirks, and it became clear over time that Zoey has a nervousness that’s common among rescues. It shows itself in some new situations, around other dogs at first, and around children. Zoe is in a wonderful home, but sadly she is not doing well with the new baby in the home. zoe would be best in an adult home.
