Meet Koko! She is a rambunctious, beautiful, athletic, energetic, and lovable girl being raised in a caring foster home. She’s being socialized with lots of loving human attention, dogs, and even horses! She will be going to a home who is truly committed to proper training, socialization, and care to make sure she becomes the best breed ambassador of the pit bull breed!
Koko will be between 50-65 lbs when fully grown. Her mom is a very sweet, loving, and energetic young adult so we assume she’ll be similar to her awesome demeanor as well.
Before you submit your application for this cute-as-a-button face, please make sure to ponder the following:
- When it comes to any puppy, think about what the dog is being encouraged to do now and ask yourself if this will be wanted behavior when the puppy is bigger and stronger. So while it may be adorable when a tiny puppy jumps up on people for attention, climbs up onto the couch and gnaws on people’s hands, that behavior isn’t so cute when the puppy is adult size, with adult teeth.
- Plan to take basic training classes with your new dog. A class builds the skills for the dog and creates lasting bonds with his or her new family.
- Socializing: Have your puppy meet as many nice people and other animals as possible to learn and keep great social skills. Protect her from bad experiences. Fear causes many dogs to become defensive, and defensive behavior is seen as aggression.
- Exercise: Koko will need a lot of daily exercise, both physically and mentally, for her to be the best adult dog she can be. A tired dog truly is a happy dog (and owner!)
Are you ready for a full time job with Koko? Are you committed to cleaning, training, and socializing Koko for the rest of her lives? If you are ready for puppyhood (being home every 2-3 hours), she would love to meet you. Please apply here to meet Koko. (BS)
