Rumpus is a 5-6 month old Great Pyrenees mix with a heart of gold. He currently weighs 56 pounds (as of 7/9/22) and will be well over 100lbs full grown. He loves every person and dog he’s ever met and is extremely respectful when meeting new friends. Though he is pretty mellow most of the time, he still does get bursts of puppy energy throughout the day that let his goofy tendencies shine. During those times he loves to romp around with his foster brother Ollie and he may even try to test his limits with a good game of keep away (especially with your socks!). But after that, he loves nothing more than to cuddle up and melt into you. He is a smart dude and learning quickly but can be stubborn at times (par for the course for guardian breeds). So far Rumpus knows sit, shake and down. His amazing fosters are working on recall, crate training, quiet and drop it and making progress. They report back that, “He is doing great at potty training and jingles the bells attached to our back door to let us know he needs to go out.”
Because Rumpus is a giant puppy who doesn’t realize his size, he would be best suited in a home with older dog-savvy kids and would LOVE a doggie companion. A fenced-in yard is a must as Great Pyrenees have a tendency to wander.
