Diana, a 3-4 year-old Shepherd mix, is such an amazing dog! The first thing you will notice about her is that she is very affectionate and just wants to be loved. She bonds quickly to her people and is a big cuddler. She greets people slowly, but sweetly, and never jumps or is overly pushy. She is also very kind and gentle so we think she would be great with kids. (Diana weighs about 45 pounds.)
Besides being well socialized with people, she is also great with other dogs, though completely non reactive to passing by dogs on walks. She hasn’t shown much interest in playing with other dogs yet, so at least for right now she’s probably not a dog who wants to go to a rowdy dog park, but she’s done great meeting all sorts of new dogs. She is currently being fostered with two small dogs and is great with both of them, though she seems to prefer the male dog over the female. Diana would be fine living with another dog, but we think she would also be totally happy being an only dog.
Diana was found wandering as a stray in the Central Valley, but it’s clear sometime invested a lot of time into training her. She is fully house trained, walks amazingly well on leash, is crate trained, does not have separation anxiety, has never been destructive in her foster home, rarely barks, and overall just has wonderful manners. Diana is an energetic girl who is looking for an active home. She is a wonderful walking and hiking partner and is currently getting 2-3 hrs of exercise a day in her foster home and she’s thriving. If you are looking for a loyal best friend and sidekick Diana is your girl! (LH)
