Meet Sammie, our 2 year old 60 lb pittie mix. Sammie is the absolute full package. Potty trained, dog and cat friendly, very social with humans, no separation anxiety, she loves water, not sensitive to noises such as fireworks, loves the car, active but also loves to lounge around the house and sun in the yard. Sammie goes to doggy daycare a couple of days a week and loves being around other dogs. She has been a big foster sister to puppies and does incredibly well. She also loved her kittens but so much so that she tended to guard them from the other dogs in the home. Sammie gets excited on leash and still needs a little work, but nothing extreme. She hasn’t been around children, and while she will probably be great, because of her size and exuberance when playing, no children under 6.
Sammie is a beloved family member that is being rehomed because an older smaller dog in the home has decided that they cannot live together safely. This is not behavior that extends to the other small dog in the home, nor the hundreds of other dogs that Sammie has interacted with.
We’d love to have you meet this sweet and social girl, so fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will contact you. (SkS)
