Raad (50 pounds) is one of the wonderful dogs we rescued from the West Bank. He’s living in an experienced foster home where he’s decompressing and coming out of his shell more and more each day. His foster parent describes him as a very sweet, goofball. Raad loves people and will show great affection for the people around him.
Raad is house trained and is living in a home with another dog and a cat. He and the cat aren’t too sure about each other, but they have been coexisting peacefully. We believe that Raad would do well in a home with other animals to keep him company.
In terms of energy, we’d describe him as medium energy. He’s happy to chill in the sun in the back yard and equally as happy to go on a big walk. Raad’s listed as 5 years old but he may actually be younger given his appearance and spunk. (Check out his playful video)
The ideal home for Raad would be one with lots of patience and an intention to work with him on things like leash training and household etiquette. Raad has been through a lot and it’s going to take time for him to not be spooked by things like loud noises (i.e. garbage trucks). If you can provide Raad this safe, loving environment and are ready to be rewarded with unconditional love, please submit an application and a volunteer will be in touch. (AL)
