Flannery is a sweet, playful, 5 month-old Belgian Malinois mix with lots of love to give. He currently weighs about 45 lbs, is very devoted to his person, and also loves to meet new people and dogs. He enjoys training sessions, running around the yard, and wrestling with his foster family’s dogs. He is food-motivated and also responds well to praise. He is a total goofball and wants to be at his human’s side as much as possible!
Flannery is crate-trained, house-trained and working on leash training. He loves toys-squeaky toys, soft toys, tough toys, sticks and balls! This comes in handy to redirect when he picks up something inappropriate like a sock – which he loves to carry around the house when he manages to sneak one!
Like most Malinois pups, Flannery is high energy and needs lots of daily exercise after which he happily snoozes in his crate. He would do well in a home as the only dog (as he loves being with his person) or would do well in a home with younger dogs he can play with. We estimate Flannery’s mature weight to be about 75+ pounds (no guarantees.)
— Malinois or similar breed experience (this is highly important)
— At least one family member home the majority of the day
— An active family or person with the time and energy needed to continue his socialization
— And we can’t forget to mention that he also loves belly rubs!
