Snickerdoodle is a 2-year-old terrier mix- a compact guy who weighs 15 pounds. Snickerdoodle’s foster calls him an absolute treasure and says he is one of the sweetest dogs she’s ever fostered. He’s super mellow and loves relaxing with his person. He is a little cautious with new people, but he calms right down once he has a few minutes with somebody. Snickerdoodle is respectful toward the older small dog he lives with in his foster home and would likely do very well with another dog in his adoptive home. He has not been around cats or children in his foster home, but would likely do well with either with some patience and slow introductions over time.
Snickerdoodle would do well with several short walks throughout the day and is still working on leash training. A more quiet neighborhood (and household) would be best for this boy as he gets scared with loud city and car sounds. He didn’t come to Rocket Dog house trained but has been doing an excellent job learning in his foster home.
Snickerdoodle has a little bit of separation anxiety and would do best with an adopter who is home more often than not or is ready to work with him on desensitization to departures. He is not destructive but loves being around his people and will sometimes scratch at the door if left alone. Snickerdoodle is food/treat motivated and has been a quick learner and easy to train.
