She loves being near her people and equally loves to tag along wherever they go or cuddle up for belly rubs!
Seven-year-old Cass is a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix (we think), and is thriving in her foster home walking up to 3-4 miles a day! She’s leash trained and house trained. She initially came to us a few pounds overweight, but her foster is ensuring that she’s eating healthy, smaller portions and exercising multiple times per day. She has dropped more than 3 lbs and currently weighs just under 25 pounds. Her favorite snacks are carrots, red bell peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, blueberries and snap peas! We anticipate Cass reaching her optimum health goal soon and we’ll want to make sure her adopter is committed to supporting her as well.
Cass loves all people and kids and is just the sweetest. She especially enjoys getting out and collecting admirers wherever she goes. Cass is good with other dogs and cats. In her foster home, she gets along well with the resident dog and is particularly fond of the cat.
Cass’s fosters are working with her to get her more comfortable being left alone for periods of time. She loves her people and wants nothing more than to be by their side. The ideal adopters for Cass would be able to spend a good deal of time with her throughout the day.
