One of the newest additions to Rocket Dog, gorgeous Chocolate Chip is bursting with wiggly puppy love and playfulness. (Please see update below.)
Chocolate Chip has been thriving in her foster home and is now ready for her forever home! How her fosters describe her:
“Sweet, very playful, alert, smart, and pretty independent for a little one! Even though she has lots of puppy energy, there’s a more reserved side of her personality too—she’s often content to observe and chill.” She is about 5 months old and will likely get to be about 60 lbs fully grown. She is a sweet and loving puppy who loves toys, especially her bee! She has met lots of other dogs, cats, people and kids in foster care. She can be shy at first but warms up quickly. She is a super smart girl and is doing really well with housetraining, leash skills and basic commands. She is also crate trained and is sleeping through the night in her current home.”
Update: CC has had two meet and greets and initial shyness seems to be the reason that both of the potential adopters so far have passed on her. Please note that some puppies, like children, can be shy when first met. CC needs someone committed to giving her the time she needs to decompress. She would benefit from a home with another friendly and confident doggy playmate to show her the ropes of being in a forever home.
Our girl will be about 60 pounds at maturity (no guarantees) and is looking for her forever family who will spend the time helping her reach her full potential. Please be home every 2 hours during this important development stage. Daily exercise, socialization, and training are in your future, so if you’re ready for puppyhood, fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will contact you. (LT)
