Copper is a 1-year-old Bloodhound who weighs 80 pounds. This big boy is affectionate, social, curious, and gentle.
Copper is very much a typical Bloodhound-he’s a total goofball! He is still a puppy and can be rambunctious, but also loves to take naps. He has a medium energy level overall. He would do best with an adopter who can commit to continued training and socialization. Copper walks relatively well on a leash but he can be clumsy and does pull some. He is a big, strong dog, so he will need a committed adopter who can work with him on this. Copper loves to play and is very interested in other dogs. He sometimes doesn’t understand that not all dogs want to play with him.
Copper would do best in an adult-only home or with older, dog-savvy kids, especially since he could likely easily knock over small children trying to play. Copper has been doing well with crate training and when left alone calms down well after a little bit of whining. He loves toys of all kinds. Copper has not been cat tested while with Rocket Dog, but was reportedly good with cats and livestock when he was first found.
