Calamity Jane and Delta Dawn were swooped up into the arms of rescue after they were found wandering around in a field. One can only imagine the hardships they endured out there on their own, and if little Dawn had other siblings. But they are on to better things, and have the best attitude about it! Both of them are incredibly sweet and affectionate. They are so excited to find forever homes, separately.
The mama, Calamity Jane, is about 65lbs. She is a very young mother — probably around a year old, barely out of puppyhood herself. She is absolutely vibrant! Her body is wiggly and joyful as she runs around. She loves to play with her toys, especially if you are playing too. All she wants is to make you happy. Jane will be a fabulous family dog. You’ll want to invest in some training to help her walk nicely on leash and learn other basic manners, but that’ll be a breeze considering how smart she is. She also seems to love being around other dogs.
Little baby Delta Dawn is about 7 weeks old (as of 12/6) and is the life of the party. The two of them really know how to light up a room! Dawn is everything a happy healthy puppy should be: playful, curious, cuddly, and sweeter than a slice of pie. No idea what daddy looks like, but possibly Shepherd or some kind of terrier? Her new owner should be excited to take her to puppy classes (strongly recommended). When adopting a young puppy like Delta Dawn, please plan to be home every few hours during this crucial socialization period.
We are not willing to separate them at this time, in order to minimize stress while they adjust to rescued life. However, they will be adopted out separately. Please feel free to submit an adoption application for one of them, or a foster application for both.
