Eldon is a young (~1.5-year-old) mixed breed dog who weighs around 45 lbs. Eldon is shy with people at first but comes around quickly, especially after a few walks with a new person. Eldon is very social with other dogs and would thrive with a similar-sized dog companion in his new home or regular interactions with dog friends.
Eldon has been an impressively quick learner in his foster home and has really come out of his shell. Eldon’s foster says his best qualities are that he is flexible and easygoing. He loves being outside and would do best in an active home with a secure fenced-in yard and where he can get plenty of outdoors time with hikes or jogs. Eldon is a young dog who still has some puppy tendencies but has shown that he is capable and eager to learn. Eldon loves chew toys and is able to entertain himself with one for quite some time.
Eldon seems to be mostly house trained. Eldon has not been tested with cats or kids. Eldon would really benefit from obedience classes or focused training with other dogs where he can learn to be the best pet he can be!
