Meet 6-month-old Border Collie mix, Rain! She weighs about 25 pounds, and will likely be around 50-60 pounds when fully grown, but no guarantees.
Rain is the shyest of her litter, but has been coming out of her shell in a foster home with her siblings. She would do best in a home where she can continue to build confidence and gain trust. She can be standoffish when meeting other new dogs, but warms up once she gets to know them. Rain is friendly and affectionate with people and children of all ages.
Border collies, and other herding dog-types, are intelligent and active dogs looking for an engaged lifestyle and Rain fits this to a tee. If you are ready for daily walks, hikes, and other physical activities for at least a couple of hours then she could be your match. Please do your research on herding dogs before applying to adopt her.
If you are ready for both the work and happiness that comes with raising a border collie puppy, please fill out an application and a volunteer will contact you. (BC)
