Sasha is a smart and playful girl. She is an 11 month-old Shepherd mix puppy, who, unfortunately, was hit by a car a few months ago. In typical dog-fashion, she recovered quickly and bounces around like nothing happened. She is ready for her forever and ever!
Sasha likes to “talk” and will tell you about her day. See here: IMG_7820 for a great example. She is practicing her manners and basic commands, but Sasha will need professional dog-training as she does have leash and barrier reactivity. (Since she’s so treat-motivated, training will be fun and easier, by the way.) Good news: she’s housebroken!
Sasha can be dog-selective, so slow and proper introductions are a must. She may do well with a male dog in the home. At 55 pounds and with her energy level (think “jumpy puppy”, an adult home would be best for her. Sasha has a high prey drive so no cats or small animals for this girl.
We ask that people applying for Sasha have a more “stay/work at home” lifestyle, at least during the initial phase of her life with you.
Let’s set up a meet and greet! Fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch. (PB/KG)
