Simba Joe just celebrated his one year old birthday. And what a ride it’s been! He was born in Iran and made his way here through an agency that sends needy dogs to good homes in America. His a tall boy, so his heritage likely includes some kind of sight hound. He has a beautiful temperament although still young and goofy (bull in a China shop goofy); he has a good heart and genuinely wants to learn.
Simba Joe would be best-suited as a family dog, with someone with him most of the time. His foster says, “he is learning impulse control, basic commands, and recall-all of which is going well but a savvy owner has to pick up where we leave off.”
His weight is just under 70 pounds; he is done growing, but will most likely fill out a bit.
Are you an active family/person who will continue to train and teach this young lad? If yes, please apply and a volunteer will contact you. (JE/TH)
