Described as “dreamy”, and an “all around great dog,” 2-year-old Sydney has absolutely stolen the hearts of the entire Rocket Dog team. Sydney weighs in at just under 50 pounds, with a bit of that number coming from her typical husky fluff.
This girl is truly a social butterfly; she had a blast hanging out at Oakland Pride (photos below), greeting people of all ages and serving as the Rocket Dog mascot for the day. She was totally unbothered by the crowds, noise, and unfamiliar environment.
Sydney is a lover of stuffed toys, treats, cuddles, and more treats. In her foster home, she’s been very good about going potty outside and leaving the apartment intact when left on her own. Her foster dad shared the following:
“Sydney is honestly such a sweetheart. Definitely a cuddle monster, she fell right asleep as soon as I sat down next to her on the couch. She’s doing great; super good with our two pups and has made many puppy friends.”
While Sydney loves her human and canine companions, we believe she would do best in a home without cats – she seems just a little too interested in getting to know them.
As a young husky, Sydney needs a very active home to keep her well exercised and happy. A few walks around the block will not cut it for this energetic breed. Huskies are active dogs known for having stubborn streaks and loud opinions – active and engaged homes are a must, prior breed experience is a plus.
