This little two-year-old Chihuahua/terrier mix has never met a dog she doesn’t like! She would make a GREAT companion for your current dog. She’s still trying to make sense of humans (aren’t we all?) and will require a quiet, patient home with another confident, medium/lower energy dog to help her navigate – a dog that will play gently and snuggle hard is ideal.
Zoe is trained to use a doggie door, so access to at least a small yard is necessary as she is not yet comfortable on a leash. No cuddle-bug here, unless you’re a Labrador. But she is curious and interested, and we think that with enough time, she’ll achieve the trust to be more affectionate with her humans. She doesn’t growl or bite, she’s simply cautious. Gives fingertip kisses for treats and occasionally puts her paws on your lap to give a quick hello. Each little piece of affection she doles out makes you feel like you’ve won the lottery! If you are interested in giving Zoe a home where she can learn to thrive, please fill out an application. (DZ)
(The other small dog in photos is also a Rocket Dog. Zoe is being fostered with Tilly. They are not bonded, but would be happy being adopted together. Please see Tilly’s bio for more info on her.)
