These Rocket Dogs are in need of foster homes where they can continue their journeys towards their forever homes. They were rescued from a hoarding situation in the Central Valley and they have been chilling at our sanctuary in Oakland for the last few weeks. They are getting used to their new surroundings (and getting good attention from people) and have started to come out of their shells.
They are ready to make new friends and would do well in homes with other friendly and outgoing dogs who can help them learn how to be “regular dogs”… Some of them may also be fine single dogs as long as they have people to bond with who are home more than not. They are likely to be pretty cat-tolerant as well. (although, no guarantees on that!)
They need to learn to walk on a leash and some may have separation anxiety if left alone, due to being in a home with lots of other animals. They are extremely shy and are often scared of things other dogs and people take for granted. Separation anxiety can manifest in a variety of ways, including crying and barking. We are happy to give you tips on how to help them recover.
If you feel like you can provide the next stepping stone for these amazing dogs, reach out and a volunteer will contact you.
They really need very patient and understanding fosters that can work with their individual needs.
Caution: they are adorable and you may fall in love! They are all healthy, vetted and ready for adoption, to the right homes as well. (KG)
