Jackie is an amazingly bright and affectionate Lab mix. At 34 pounds and just about a year old, she is ready to find her forever family. Few dogs are as adept at cuddling as Miss Jackie, and her size and sweetness make her an exceptional snuggler and nuzzler in her foster home.
She’s still a pup, full of puppy energy and curiosity, which makes her eager to learn new skills. She’s still figuring out how to walk on a leash but already has success running, and she should make a fantastic exercise buddy once she gets more experience with the leash skills. Jackie is improving her house and crate training skills and is very close to learning “sit” on command. Jackie may pick up your shoe, but she will politely drop it if told “no.”
Jackie would do well with a family that can give her an outlet for her energy and continue to work on her obedience and manners. She’s often on “alert” when out in the urban environment, but she is showing signs of becoming more comfortable every day.
A home with another dog would be ideal to have a good playmate and role model, or a person who will prioritize giving her time to socialize with other canines. She has not been tested with cats!
