Meet Lulu, the 11-month-old, 24-pound Rat Terrier/Pomeranian* pup with a personality as unique as her breed mix! Lulu might have a few quirks, but she’s an absolute sweetheart once you get to know her.
When it comes to exercise, Lulu’s energy level is off the charts! She’s a high-energy gal who would love nothing more than an hour or more of exercise each day to burn off her zoomies. Toys are Lulu’s jam! She’s a big fan of squeaky stuffed animals and tennis balls. (Bonus: she’s house-trained.) Lulu would enjoy having another dog in the house as we think she would do well with a balanced and confident dog sibling to show her the ropes.
Lulu’s best qualities include being sweet, playful, and an absolute pro at the “sploot” (that endearing belly-down sprawl dogs do).
However, she does have a few quirks you should know about and we encourage you to read the following carefully.
Lulu can be a bit reserved around new people. She tends to hide from strangers when she’s out on walks, finding creative spots to stay out of sight. But give her some time, and she might just come out of her shell.
On the leash, Lulu is a champ in quiet areas, but the hustle and bustle of crowded streets can make her a bit anxious. She’d rather have some open space in the yard to run around freely. She also startles easily at loud noises and sudden movements outside but is as confident as can be at home.
Now, here’s an important point to note: Lulu has some separation anxiety. A family that can spend quality time with her or provide some crate training support would be ideal. She’s most content when she can snuggle up with her humans at night.
In summary, Lulu thrives in a quiet neighborhood with a yard and understanding adopters who can help her overcome her shyness and separation anxiety. If you’re up for the challenge of helping Lulu grow into the best dog she can be, she’ll reward you with a lifetime of love and playfulness! (GC)
