Small dog lovers, look no further for your new forever friend!
Mickey was surrendered to a local shelter when his people were moving and couldn’t take him and their other small dog. We are told he is 3 years old chihuahua mix and at 8 pounds he is a little on the thin side (hip bones should not be that visible) and he sure is happy to get extra meals right now! He loves snacks. Like really.
Mickey lived well with people and is very playful, enjoys walks, and is described as a medium-energy small dog. He can be territorial of his things (food & toys) and for this reason we are suggesting a home without small children and small dog experience, please. He has played nicely with other dogs his size from what we have seen.
He’s adorable, seriously. He does this silly leap in the air when he wants to play, and will wrestle with his toys, jump in circles and spins around them. He’s got this unique cowlick on his neck and a kink in his tail that makes him look tuff. He’s got sass and spunk and a bit more.
If you would like to meet Mickey and give him a forever home, please fill out an application and a volunteer will be in touch (KF).
Can’t adopt? In the meantime, Mickey would greatly appreciate a foster home.
