Described by his foster as soulful, calm, and steady, Shiitake does great with children and loves to be near the family. This gentle boy has been working on his house training, crate training, and basic obedience tricks. Despite his calm and steady demeanor, he is still a puppy – so expect a good amount of playful energy as Shiitake grows up. As an adult, Shiitake will need a couple hours of exercise daily, as well as mental stimulation, to keep him calm and happy. Now that his puppy vaccines are complete, he is super excited to go on walks and explore the world!
Puppies require someone to be home frequently throughout the day during this critical bonding period. Continued socialization and training are important to help Shiitake grow up to be the best adult dog possible!
One of Shiitake’s siblings had a DNA test completed and came back as roughly 25% Great Pyrenees, so we believe Shiitake will grow up to be a large adult dog (possibly 60-75 lbs. but no guarantees). (We cannot confirm reliability of DNA results.)
