Jalebi (Pronounced as Gi-Lay-Bee) and Truffle are two of the
sweetest girls you will ever meet! And they have a unique story to
tell!
Jalebi and Truffle were born in Chennai (India). They were
rescued from a flooding drain where both them and their other
siblings almost drowned during the monsoon season. They were
just 2-days old. Their current parents tried looking for a forever
home for them back in India, but almost a year and a half went by,
and they we re still unable to find that perfect family. Thus, it was
decided that it was time for Hunter and Simba and their other
siblings to fly to the Bay Area, where their current parents are
from, in hopes of finding them the loving home they deserve.
Jalebi & Truffle are approximately 2-years-old and weigh between
30 and 35 lbs. Both are Indian Pi, aka. Indian Street Dogs.
They are spayed, up to date on all their vaccines, are microchipped and
have been crate trained.
Jalebi is a friendly and active gal. She loves the company of other
dogs and is a social butterfly. She loves attention and being
hugged. At the same time, she knows how to amuse herself and
can be left alone for a couple of hours. With such an active mind,
she enjoys playing with her toys and running around the backyard
with her siblings, but she also loves her afternoon naps either in
her crate or sunbathing under the sun. With her sharp ears, she’s
always alert and will promptly bark to alert you when someone’s
approaching outside but equally quickly quiets down.
Truffle just like her sister is very affectionate and lovable. She’s
the mellower one out of the two and enjoys being cuddled. She too
is well- behaved and can be left alone for a few hours. She’s very
sociable and loves following and doing whatever her sister does.
Truffle loves attention and when she gets it –
sometimes gets overly excited and wiggles her tail uncontrollably doing a little
dance!
They are inseparable and do everything together. They enjoy
playing and sleeping together in the same bed. Both of them are
still working on learning the basic commands but have proved to
be very fast learners. Additionally, both are learning to control
their enthusiasm during first impressions!
