Audrey Joseph, Board Member
Audrey Joseph has long been a supporter Of Rocket Dog Rescue and an admirer of Pali Boucher. As a long time Bay Area Producer Audrey has produced the Bummers Ball annual gala fundraiser for Rocket Dog rescue since its inception. Audrey has been an activist for animal rights for decades and has produced multiple events to raise money for causes like sending thousands of flea collars to Nepal for street dogs and puppies being bled to death by fleas and ticks, elephant rescue in both Thailand through Tom Elephant Camp and Africa for Sheldrick.
Audrey Joseph has been a Commissioner for the SF Entertainment Commission from 2003 to 2017 and served as its president four times. As the owner of Townsend nightclub home to Club Universe she has raised tens of thousands of dollars for pediatric AIDS, LGBTQ rights, Women’s health, animal rights, clothing the homeless and served as a drop-in center post 911 for all those who were affected directly or indirectly by the terrorist bombings.
Audrey stands committed to Rocker Dog Rescue to be able to help support the efforts to give a voice to those beautiful beings that do not have one of their own and help to diversify and expand the efforts of rescue and placement for all who come through the door.
Kristen Evans, Board Member
Kristen Evans has extensive experience in operations management, with notable roles at Apple and Tesla, where she contributed to retail operations, product launches, and growth efforts. Alongside this experience, Kristen has also served as a CEO and has been a business owner for the past 7 years, refining her skills in business strategy and organizational development.
Kristen began fostering for Rocket Dog in 2015 and has welcomed hundreds of dogs of all ages and breeds in her home. Two of her three fur babies are RD foster fails. She shamelessly offers her kids up anytime a dog needs to be kid tested (so far everyone has passed!) and volunteered full time at the Sanctuary as the Foster and Adoption lead through most of 2017. Prior to joining the Board she managed events such as the Bay Area Pet Fair (when it was in person) and the 2022 Bummers Ball.
Now, as a member of the Rocket Dog Board of Directors, Kristen is eager to leverage her experience in scaling businesses to support the organization’s growth. She is looking forward to making a meaningful impact in this role.
Christine Garcia, Board Secretary
Legal and Secretary
Christine is an accomplished animal law attorney for more than 15 years. After receiving her BA at UC Berkeley, Christine studied at both Loyola Chicago and the University of California Hastings College of Law in San Francisco to receive her JD. Christine joined the Rocket Dog Board of Directors in 2014 when she was elected to Secretary.
She is passionate about getting people involved to help animals locally, from eating a vegan diet to volunteering with their local shelter. She actively works towards lasting change for animals in the law each week in Court.
Pali Boucher, Founder and President
Pali, a San Francisco native, founded Rocket Dog Rescue in 2001 with the mission to help create a world where all companion animals having loving and permanent homes and where no good natured dogs, no matter what their age, are killed because they are considered to be surplus or un-adoptable.
As President of Rocket Dog Rescue, she has the grown the group for small side-walk adoption events in San Francisco to organization with a strong reputation and presence with events throughout the Bay Area. But most importantly, Pali has been the leading force in helping Rocket Dog Rescue save the lives of over 7000 animals.
Pali is also the recipient of the prestigious Points of Light Award in 2001 for her outstanding volunteerism. She is a beacon for many in animal rescue community, with her many contributions featured on numerous television and news outlets.
