San Francisco designer SuperSugarRayRay has been making fun party clothes for humans since 2007. Day 3 of the covid lockdown in 2020 she quickly realized the only way to ride out the pandemic was to get a rescue dog. She quickly found her dog, a Chihuahua mix she named Bobbin, and began making fun party clothes for dogs that winter under the name SuperSugarPupPup.
She has since expanded her line to include sizes for dogs up to 65 pounds. Everything is made locally in her San Francisco factory where she pays her workers a living wage.
